Evangelization goes hand in hand with human development projects and aims to reach the underprivileged in all areas of the country.

MIDEM pursues a humanitarian development objective by taking into account the human being in its holistic framework. It trains and supports its members with sustainable development projects.

The members

Any Christian who shares the same visions as MIDEM can apply to join the association. Members can become contributors and/or initiators of projects. The association will take care of the financing of the projects if they are approved.

The missionaries

MIDEM recruits its missionaries mainly from the UGBM (Union des Groupes Bibliques de Madagascar), the national branch of IFES (International Fellowship of Evangelical Students), especially among young graduates with strong potential and zeal for the propagation/the spreading of the Gospel.

Theological training

The young missionaries must undergo theological training at ISTE (Institut Supérieur de Théologie Evangélique) in Antananarivo before being sent to the field in the different regions.

Indeed/As a matter of fact, sects are swarming all over the island. Islam is gaining ground, and Malagasy people find it difficult to dissociate themselves from their traditional beliefs even if they embrace Christianity. Therefore, it is important for us to have missionaries who are well grounded in the Word, who will spread sound doctrine and defend the truth.

Working in the Regions

Madagascar has 23 regions. After their training, these missionaries will be sent to the different regions of the island to work there.

They will work at the student level because children and youth are the future of the country, but they will also develop socio-economic projects in collaboration with the population and local authorities.

Support from MIDEM

The association will support them to find administrative and financial support in order to meet their needs and realize their projects.
